Video released in armed store robbery

FORT WAYNE – The Fort Wayne Police Department has released dramatic video of an armed robbery at a south-side store Wednesday afternoon.

A gunman went into Mon Asian Grocery, 3028 S. Calhoun St., about 4:25 p.m., pointing a handgun at a clerk and customers as he demanded cash, police said.

He ran away after getting the money, and no injuries were reported.

The robber was described as slender, with a short-trimmed beard.

Anyone with information about the identity or whereabouts of the robber is asked to call police at 427-1201 or Crime Stoppers at 436-7867, where a cash reward is possible.
