Rolling slowdowns on I-69 expected

Rolling slowdowns of traffic on Interstate 69 in Steuben County will take place during nighttime hours this week and next, Indiana Department of Transportation officials said.

The slowdowns, on both north- and south-bound I-69, began Wednesday near mile 345 and are to accommodate the removal of the deck from the County Road 325 bridge. There will be traffic slowdowns tonight, Monday and Tuesday nights. The bridge deck removal is expected to be complete by 6 a.m. July 24.

The Steuben County Sheriff’s Department or Indiana State Police will assist with the rolling slowdowns, which may last up to 20 minutes each.
