New magistrate named

Trevino

After a brief search, the Allen Circuit Court named a new magistrate Wednesday afternoon.

Andrea R. Trevino, who is of counsel at the law firm of Beckman Lawson, LLP, is slated to start as the Circuit Court Magistrate on Aug. 1.

Trevino takes the place of Allen Superior Judge Craig Bobay, who was appointed by Gov. Mike Pence late last month to fill the seat vacated by Judge Dan Heath, who moved to the Family Relations Division on the retirement of Judge Steve Sims.

"I was pleased to have such a talented pool of applicants from which to choose," said Circuit Court Judge Thomas Felts, in a written statement issued Wednesday afternoon.

"I am even more delighted to welcome Ms. Trevino to the Circuit Court bench. Her academic background, combined with her vast experience in civil and family law, makes her extremely qualified for this position. She will be a great addition to our team."
