TinCaps lose at Beloit

The TinCaps failed to capitalize on the momentum of their 13th-inning win Friday against Wisconsin, falling to the Beloit Snappers 7-1 Saturday at Pohlman Field in Beloit, Wis.

The Snappers jumped on TinCaps starter Bryan Rodriguez early, scoring twice in the first inning, once in the fourth and three more in the fifth, driving Rodriguez from the game. Rodriguez (1-4) gave up six runs on seven hits in 4 2/3 innings.

The TinCaps (7-15 second half, 50-41 overall) scored their only run in the third as Tyler Stubblefield’s double scored Brian Adams. Stubblefield had three ofFort Wayne’s eight hits.

The TinCaps face the Snappers (16-6 second half, 59-33 overall) in the second game of the series today at 3 p.m.
