Thunderstorms head this way

Scattered thunderstorms are expected in northeast Indiana and northwest Ohio after 3 p.m. Monday and into the evening, the National Weather Service in northern Indiana says.

Severe storms are not forecast, but the weather service said some might produce wind gusts up to 50 mph.

The forecast said there is an increasing risk for storms Tuesday afternoon and evening, and the weather service said some could be severe. At this time, the most severe storms are expected to be north of U.S. 24.

Thunderstorms are possible through Wednesday evening.
