Shopping July sales

Knowing and understanding sale cycles can definitely save you money. July is the time to find everything from charcoal and sunscreen to school supplies and fruit.

When planning your shopping for July, look for grocery items related to the Fourth of July holiday. This includes many grilling and cookout items. Because July is National Hotdog Month, Blueberry Month and Baked Beans Month, you also will find great deals on those items. Stock up on sale items such as barbecue sauce, bottled water, charcoal, condiments, dips, ground beef, hamburger and hot dog buns, marinade, paper products, utensils, potato chips, ribs, salad dressing, sodas and steaks. Remember that many of these items last for a long time and can be frozen until you need them. When possible, stock up and save.

July is also a great time to find summer essentials on sale. This includes items such as sunscreen, insect repellent, summer clothing, patio furniture and even garden décor.

It seems like school just let out, but back-to-school sales start in July. Now is the time to start thinking about school supplies such as paper items, folders, pens and pencils, electronics and more. Buy now and avoid the August rush.
