News and notes

  • A win today would start the first three-game winning streak for Fort Wayne since a nine-game streak from June 2-11, and it would ensure the TinCaps win their first series of the second half.
  • Ross hasn't recorded a win since April and will look to change that today. The TinCaps are 4-0 against Great Lakes at Parkview Field and 9-5 in the Midwest League All-Star's starts. However, Fort Wayne has lost the last three starts by Ross, and his most recent -- a 13-hit, six-run game against Lake County -- was his worst outing this season.
