Victim in fatal motorcycle crash is identified

Authorities have identified a motorcyclist killed in a collision Friday afternoon on Indiana 930 in New Haven.

William G. Dunn, 55, of New Haven was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash, near Hartzell Road, just after 1 p.m., according to the Allen County Coroner's Office.

Dunn, who was wearing a helmet, died from blunt-force injuries received during the accident, the coroner's office said.

His death is the 15th traffic fatality in Allen County this year, the coroner's office said. Last year, 37 people died in motor vehicle crashes in the county.

New Haven police said Dunn was headed east on Indiana 930 when he struck an oncoming car that was turning left into a restaurant lot.

The driver of the car suffered minor injuries, and her family took her to a hospital to be treated, police said. Her name has not been released.

The crash is under investigation.
