AD could be on the move

IPFW athletic director Tommy Bell is among the finalists for the same position with Western Illinois, according to the employment website at Western Illinois, and he will interview there Wednesday and Thursday.

Other finalists are China Jude, the assistant vice president and athletics director at Queens College in New York, and Ken Ralph, director of athletics at Colorado College.

Western Illinois' former athletics director, Tim Van Alstine, resigned in May.

Bell has been at IPFW since 2007.

His resume, available through Western Illinois, states he has: "28 years of administrative and managerial experience in professional and intercollegiate athletics, physical education, recreation and intramurals with two professional baseball organizations and four NCAA Division I Institutions. Extensive understanding of academic and athletic issues including fund raising, donor development, and NCAA rules and regulations as they pertain to an NCAA Division I athletic program."
