The National Weather Service has issued a flood advisory for parts of northwest Van Wert County, Ohio, until 9:30 p.m.
At 7:30 p.m., weather spotters reported thunderstorms producing very heavy rain over Convoy, Ohio, about seven miles west of Van Wert, the weather service said. It said street flooding is occurring there.
Runoff from the storms will cause flooding of small creeks and streams, highways and underpasses, the weather service said. It said country roads and farmlands along the banks of creeks and streams, and other low-lying areas, also are subject to flooding.
