ECHL names Broadcaster of Year

Bob Chase a finalist

Joseph Zakrzewski of the South Carolina Stingrays was named ECHL Broadcaster of the Year for 2012-13, the league announced today.

Komets broadcaster Bob Chase was a finalist for the award, as were Josh Bogorad of the Alaska Aces, Alex Reed of the Florida Everblades and Bob Mills of the Orlando Solar Bears, the league said in a statement.

Zakrzewski has been the voice of the Stingrays for four seasons, the league said. He handles media and public relations for the club, as well as the Stingrays' website.
