So far, the cats pretty much leave this alone.

Tour de Fleece, Days 1, 2 and 3

Tour de Fleece Goals

My goals for this year are a lot like last year.

1) Spin or ply for at least 20 minutes every day.

2) Work through a lot of fiber.

3) Have fun!

When I say I spun a little, I mean, a LITTLE.

Day 1, 6/29

I spent a lot of Saturday cleaning the house and doing laundry, because I figured I wouldn't be doing a lot more of that over the next few weeks!

I did finish weaving my second scarf, spun a little, and worked on a Secret Sock. (It's a secret because I'm going to try to get it into a magazine.)

That's more like it, although it still looks wimpy on such a large bobbin.

Day 2, 6/30

I finished spinning the rest of the 70/30 Merino/Tussah Silk from Saturday, and wound some already-plied finished yarn from that 8 oz. braid. As soon as the singles are finished resting (Monday night), I'll be ready to ply. The Kate is all ready to go, and that's the main photo with this post.

24.5 oz. of fiber - and she got them all into one flat-rate envelope! Crazy!

Day 3, 7/1

So far, all I've done is unpack some batts I bought on Ravelry last week. I seem to take TdF as an excuse to let my stash explode! The woman I bought them from is closing up her Etsy shop for a while. I hope she starts up again, her batts are lovely.

No matter. I just can't believe she crammed all of these batts into one shipping envelope.

Tonight, I'm hoping to ply the Merino/Silk blend. I'll let you know how it goes!
