Frontier Communications Corp. has reorganized its central region to include Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Michigan, Minnesota and Nebraska, the company announced on Monday.

Area President John Lass will oversee the regional operations, which are headquartered in Fort Wayne.

Three years ago, Frontier Communications closed an $8.6 billion deal with Verizon Communications Inc. to acquire its landline phone, Internet and cable business in 14 states, including Indiana.
