Fort Wayne suffered its first shutout of the second half in a 1-0 loss to Lake County on Sunday at Classic Park in Eastlake, Ohio.

The TinCaps (46-33) dropped to 3-7 in the second half with the loss to the Captains (29-49) despite solid pitching efforts from starter Bryan Rodriguez and reliever Matthew Shepherd.

Rodriguez went five innings with four hits, one earned run and four strikeouts to his credit, while Shepherd struck out three and gave up one hit in three innings. But Lake County starter Dylan Baker and reliever Josh Martin trumped the TinCaps.

Baker went eight innings with two hits to his name and four strikeouts for the win, and Martin closed the game for the save.
