Ohioan, 18, charged in Bryan tool thefts

An 18-year-old northwest Ohio man is accused of stealing two generators and tools owned by the city of Bryan, Ohio.

On Thursday, the city engineer’s office reported that about $2,000 worth of equipment was stolen from vehicles parked at the Don North Municipal Building, the Bryan Police Department said.

The thefts were believed to be linked to a prowler call earlier in the week, according to police, who checked with the owner of a truck at Moore Park pool.

Police said the truck owner confirmed he found the stolen items on his property and agreed to take them to the police department.

Zeke E, Cooley, who lives in the Bryan area, was charged with felony theft. Police said several potential suspects were questioned and one of them confessed.
