Molester wielded knife, police report

An 18-year-old Columbia City man is accused of sexually assaulting a 13-year-old in Whitley County.

Dustin N. Nimtz was arrested on felony charges of child molesting, criminal deviate conduct and attempted rape.

Nimtz is accused of using a knife to threaten the victim during the assault late Thursday or early Friday, according to the Whitley County Prosecutor’s Office.

No other information, including the victim’s gender, was released.

Nimtz was being held Friday evening at the Whitley County Jail in lieu of $250,000 bail.
