Arizonan faces lengthy prison time in molesting

An Arizona man pleaded guilty Friday in Allen Superior Court to charges of child molesting and sexual misconduct with a minor.

Forrest G. Bower, 50, was charged in March 2011 but was not arrested until January. He was originally charged with four counts of child molesting and four counts of sexual misconduct with a minor.

Under the terms of a plea agreement, Bower faces 35 years in prison, with five years suspended and four years to be served on probation.

The additional charges will be dismissed if the plea agreement is accepted by a judge.

According to court documents, Bower began having sex with the girl in 2009, when they were both living in Fort Wayne. He gave her money and gifts and told her she could be taken away from her mother if she told anyone about what he was doing.
