Restaurant robbed at knifepoint

An alert resident flagged down police Thursday evening after the armed robbery of a Bryan, Ohio, restaurant.

The police department said an employee of Subway, 217 S. Main St. called police at 8:37 pm to report that a man came into the store, brandished a knife and took money from the register.

While officers from the Bryan Police Department and Williams County Sheriff’s Department searched the area, one of the officers was told that the suspect might be on East Wilson Street.

Seath A. McAtee of the 900 block of East Wilson Street was arrested and charged with aggravated robbery, the Bryan department said in a statement. The police said he confessed.
