Purdue adds specialist to 2014 class

Purdue nabbed a commitment from 2014 kicker/punter Austin McGehee today.

McGehee, a senior-to-be at Pine Bluff (Ark.) High School, is one of the best kickers in the country according to multiple recruiting websites. He was a first-team All-State selection during his junior season at Pine Bluff, and according to stats from ArkansasVarsity.com, averaged 44.1 yards on punts.

McGehee was also 14 for 18 on field goal tries, made 66 of 68 extra-point attempts and got touchbacks on 61 of his 79 kickoffs.

McGehee becomes the sixth commit of the Boilermakers' 2014 recruiting class. He is also the fifth out-of-state commit and the only pledge from Arkansas.
