Indiana's Cody Zeller, right, was taken with the No. 4 selection in the NBA draft by the Charlotte Bobcats. Zeller was taken two spots after former IU teammate Victor Oladipo, left.

Zeller goes to Charlotte Bobcats at No. 4

Former Indiana center Cody Zeller was picked up by the Charlotte Bobcats with the No. 4 pick in the 2013 NBA draft.

Zeller, a 7-foot center and the crux of the Hoosiers' return from a sub-.500 team to a national title contender, averaged 16.5 points and 8.1 rebounds as a sophomore. He was projected as the top choice in the draft during preseason rankings in 2012, but slid down boards because of questions about his physicality.

He didn't slide all that much, though.

Zeller was picked as a second-team All-American by the U.S. Basketball Writers Association and The Associated Press during his final season at IU. He was also a third-team choice by the Sporting News.
