  • Crossroads Classic extended through 2019
    The Crossroads Classic, a men's basketball event held at Bankers Life Fieldhouse in Indianapolis, has been extended through 2019, the athletic directors at Indiana, Butler, Purdue and Notre Dame announced Thursday.
  • Purdue to play Kansas State in Maui
    Purdue drew Kansas State in the EA Sports Maui Invitational, for which the bracket was revealed Wednesday.
  • Purdue finds a punter for 2015
    Joe Schopper, a punter at Cathedral High School in Indianapolis, tweeted Tuesday that he has committed to join Purdue's Class of 2015.

Purdue will add 9 to Hall of Fame in September

Purdue announced the addition of nine members to its Intercollegiate Athletics Hall of Fame today. The new members will be inducted Sept. 28.

Former football coach Joe Tiller and NFL lineman Matt Light highlight the group. Tiller coached the Boilermakers for 15 years, while Light is a former Pro Bowl player for the New England Patriots. The full list is below:

  • Alpha Jamison, football, baseball and track and field athlete, football and basketball coach, 1892-1901
  • Matt Light, football, 1996-2000
  • Stacey Lovelace, basketball, 1993-96
  • Willie Merriweather, basketball, 1957-59
  • Carol Mertler, field hockey coach and administrator, 1975-1988
  • Serene Ross, track and field, 1999-2002
  • Joe Tiller, football coach, 1982-85, and 1997-2008
