Teen’s acquaintance faces sex charge

A 58-year-old Fort Wayne man is accused of trying to fondle a teenage girl as she lay in her bed one night.

Allen County prosecutors formally charged Jack E. Harris of the 600 block of Lawton Place with one count of felony child seduction Friday.

A girl who is at least 16 years old but younger than 18 years old told police that Harris had inappropriately touched her one night in April, according to Allen Superior Court documents.

The girl, who Harris knew, was in bed when he came in and lifted up her shirt and kissed her stomach, court documents said.

He then began touching her chest and her thigh underneath her shirt, according to the documents.
