Jury convicts on 3 molesting counts

An Allen Superior Court jury convicted a Fort Wayne man this week of three counts of child molesting and two counts of contributing to the delinquency of a minor.

Jessie Johnston, 28, of the 900 block of Home Avenue, was charged in February, a few months after a 13-year-old girl told police she had sex with him and that they smoked marijuana he provided, according to court documents.

He will be sentenced in July and faces more than 20 years in prison.
