Police: Job seeker takes wallet; credit cards used

The Fort Wayne Police Department is asking for the public's help in identifying a man suspected of theft and fraud.

About 12:30 p.m. June 10, a man asking for a job application at the Dunham's Sports side on Lima Road went into an unoccupied office and took a wallet out of a purse, the police said.

Later that afternoon a different man, in the company of a women, police said, made a purchase using a stolen credit card from the wallet.

Investigators released a video and still images captured from in-store surveillance cameras.

The man and woman in the photo have been identified, the police said. Their names have not been released.

Anyone who knows the identity or whereabouts of the remaining suspect is asked to contact the police at 427-1201 or Crime Stoppers at 436-7867.
