Shambaugh to add 110 jobs in $4.1 million expansion

Shambaugh & Son announced today it will invest $4.1 million and add 110 jobs as part of a two-part expansion.

The project will include an 8,000-square-foot addition at its Fort Wayne headquarters, 7614 Opportunity Drive, bringing the location to 140,000 square feet.

The second portion of the plan includes leasing a new 70,000-square-foot facility at 2219 Contractors Drive.

Shambaugh specializes in a full range of new and retrofit construction for industrial, commercial, institutional, food processing, medical and biofuel projects.

“With roots dating back 87 years in the Hoosier state, Shambaugh knows firsthand the benefits of operating in Indiana,” Gov. Mike Pence said in a statement. “Our low tax rates, centralized location and skilled workforce make Indiana ideal for companies looking to exercise a competitive advantage and help us offer long-lasting value as a state that works for business.”

Shambaugh & Son, which currently has 528 employees in Fort Wayne, is a subsidiary of Norwalk, Conn.-based EMCOR Group Inc.
