Police probing early-morning gas station robbery

Fort Wayne police were searching for a gunman who robbed a gas station early today.

The robbery occurred about 2:15 a.m. at Speedway, 6033 W. Jefferson Blvd. near Getz Road.

The suspect – a black man who stands about 5 feet, 10 inches tall – was wearing a white shirt and black pants, and carrying a black handgun, police officials said.

A man who answered the phone at the gas station would not comment.
