Isolated thunderstorms possible today

FORT WAYNE – The National Weather Service in northern Indiana says the region might have some isolated thunderstorms Monday afternoon.

None are expected to be severe.

The hazardous weather alert was issued early Monday for the following counties:

  • Indiana – Adams, Allen, DeKalb, Huntington, Kosciusko, LaGrange, Noble, Steuben, Wabash, Wells, Whitley, LaPorte, St. Joseph, Elkhart, Starke, Pulaski, Marshall, Fulton, White, Cass, Miami, Grant, Blackford and Jay.
  • Ohio – Williams, Fulton, Defiance, Henry, Paulding, Putnam, Van Wert and Allen.
The high today in Fort Wayne is expected to be 87 degrees.

The weather service said the storms are most likely to be along the states’ northern edges, near the Michigan border.

There is also a slight chance of thunderstorms Tuesday afternoon.
