  • Coats' staff holding office hours in 4 area counties
    A representative from Sen. Dan Coats' office will be in Kosciusko and Wabash counties on Friday and Wells and Huntington counties on Monday to meet with residents to help with any problems they may be experiencing with a federal agency.
  • Hamilton Road closed Thursday
    Hamilton Road between Branstrator and Indianapolis roads will be closed from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Thursday to repair a storm sewer, the Allen County Highway Department said today.
  • Bull Rapids Road work rescheduled
    Bull Rapids Road between Old U.S. 24 and the Woodburn city limits will be closed from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesday for road work, the Allen County Highway Department said today.

Isolated thunderstorms possible today

FORT WAYNE – The National Weather Service in northern Indiana says the region might have some isolated thunderstorms Monday afternoon.

None are expected to be severe.

The hazardous weather alert was issued early Monday for the following counties:

  • Indiana – Adams, Allen, DeKalb, Huntington, Kosciusko, LaGrange, Noble, Steuben, Wabash, Wells, Whitley, LaPorte, St. Joseph, Elkhart, Starke, Pulaski, Marshall, Fulton, White, Cass, Miami, Grant, Blackford and Jay.
  • Ohio – Williams, Fulton, Defiance, Henry, Paulding, Putnam, Van Wert and Allen.
The high today in Fort Wayne is expected to be 87 degrees.

The weather service said the storms are most likely to be along the states’ northern edges, near the Michigan border.

There is also a slight chance of thunderstorms Tuesday afternoon.
