Officer Nelson Hernandez pets Geo after he received his graduation medal during a canine graduation ceremony in New York's Grand Central Terminal. Each of the dogs has been named after a fallen members of the armed forces and police department. The MTA Police Department's Canine Unit, one of the largest in the nation, has 50 dogs in active duty patrolling LIRR, Metro-North and Staten Island Railway stations, tracks and facilities.
