Guilty verdict in aborted bank heist

Bigger

An Allen Superior Court jury convicted a Fort Wayne man Wednesday of the December attempted robbery of a Chase Bank branch.

Adam J. Bigger, 28, of the 7000 block of Elmbrook Drive, was arrested in January after receiving a police tip.

He was wanted in the Dec. 21 attempted robbery of the Coldwater Road bank branch. Bigger presented a note demanding money, but before he received any cash, he fled the bank on foot.

Bigger will be sentenced in July and faces two to eight years in prison.
