FORT WAYNE – Mechanical problems have closed Memorial Pool.

The city of Fort Wayne said Friday that the pool is expected to open early next week.

Northside and McMillen pools remain open every afternoon, and the city parks’ free splash pads are operating from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., the announcement said.

Splash pads are located at Buckner Park on Bass Road; McCormick Park at Raymond and Holly avenues; Memorial Park at Maumee and Glasgow avenues; Shoaff Park on St. Joe Road; Taylor’s Dream playground at Kreager Park on North River Road; and Waynedale Park at Koons and Elzey avenues.

There is also a splash pad at Robert E. Meyers Park, inside the north gate of Parkview Field downtown, which is open on days without scheduled events at Parkview Field.
