Norwell wins 3A title

INDIANAPOLIS – Norwell beat Jasper 2-1 to win the Class 3A state baseball championship Friday at Victory Field.

The Knights (33-3) avenged a 2006 title game loss, 13-12, to the Wildcats (32-4) with the win.

Starting pitcher Josh VanMeter got the win and also scored both runs.

Jonah Patten had both RBI.
