Rome City man pleads to unemployment-insurance fraud

A Rome City man has pleaded guilty to unemployment insurance fraud, collecting benefits while working full-time, the Indiana Department of Workforce Development said today.

Nicholas S. Spencer, 33, entered the plea in Noble Circuit Court last month, the department said in a statement.

Spencer was sentenced to three years' probation, and was ordered to repay the nearly $13,000 in benefits he fraudulently collected, the statement said.
