News and notes

  • The TinCaps were shut out for 14 innings and got only six hits in two games Thursday. Fort Wayne will need a win today to prevent its first four-game series sweep at Parkview Field. The TinCaps last dropped a four-game stint at home on Aug. 10-13, 2006.
  • A loss today would also be good for the team's worst losing streak this season. The TinCaps have lost three in a row three times this year, including three straight in this home stand.
