Service set in shooting death of 20-year-old

FORT WAYNE – The Peace and Justice Commission in Allen County has scheduled a Heal the Land prayer service at the site of Fort Wayne’s most recent homicide.

The service is 12:15 p.m. Saturday in the 3200 block of Oliver Street, near Drexel Avenue, where Shane Jamal Stephens, 20, was shot down May 17.

His death was the 18th homicide in Allen County in 2013.
