  • Ouellet back for K's
The Komets will have Dean Ouellet back tonight for Game 3 of the Eastern Conference Finals against the Reading Royals. He missed the last 17 games with a concussion.
  • Priming Game 3
The Reading Royals are the defending champions of the ECHL, and it would be naïve of the Komets to think it would be easy to unseat them.
  • Clarke is K's Mr. Steady
The Komets rely on their veterans to temper the enthusiasm of the highs and get through the frustration of the lows. And no one in the locker room is more even keel than Aaron Clarke, a 31-year-old forward.

Athletic trainer Shawn Dundon tends to an injured player, Lincoln Kaleigh Schrock, during a 2012 playoff game.

Is Dundon done?

I got a tip that the Komets' longtime athletic trainer, Shawn Dundon, will no longer be with the Komets next season.

I tracked down Dundon to see if this was true, and he said he had no comment on the matter.

I've yet to reach general manager David Franke to confirm if a change has been made, and if it was made by the Komets, Dundon or the Lutheran Health Network, which provides the Komets their trainer.

Dundon has been with the Komets since 2000, making sure players were healthy enough to win five championships in four leagues.
