Missing Kendallville man returns home safely

A missing Kendallville man sought for about a day has returned home safely, authorities said Friday night.

No details were immediately provided about Christopher J. Keenan, 32, who was last seen Wednesday and had been considered missing since Thursday night.

Kendallville police and several other agencies searched for Keenan, who they said was in poor health.

At about 4:30 p.m. Thursday, they said, family members found Keenan had left his bedroom through a window. Police said family members searched places where they thought he might go, but contacted them after they were unable to locate him.

Police said they were concerned for his safety and well being given several medical and mental health conditions, which they did not disclose. They said Keenan had no access to a vehicle.

Police were assisted in the search by the Kendallville and Orange Township fire departments, the Noble County Emergency Management Agency, Northeast Indiana K9 Search and Rescue and the Angola Dive Team.
