Verbatim: HOPE for Animals offers free pet vaccines to owners with financial hardship

HOPE for Animals issued this news release today:

Due to the overwhelming requests for help from underserved pet owners, HOPE for Animals will host a Free Vaccine Outreach Clinic on Saturday, May 18, 2013. Spring is a critical time for pet owners to have access to many kinds of preventative health measures. Thanks to generous HOPE supporters and several conscientious business owners, HOPE is able to supply vaccines for 200 dogs through this clinic.

The clinic will take place at Faith United Methodist Church at 207 E. Dewald Street, Fort Wayne, IN from 11:00 am to 3:30 pm. This event is first-come, first-serve for the first 200 dogs. HOPE will be giving out FREE rabies & distemper vaccines, as well as administering free heartworm testing and offering $10.00 micro-chipping. Please call 260-420-7729 with questions or to donate to this cause.

This event is for those families that cannot afford to put forth any dollars towards the medical care of their pets. For those who can afford a reduced price for vaccines and spay/neuter, HOPE representatives will be on sight to discuss additional options. These options include other programs such as SNIP-BY-ZIP 46806 ($5.00 spay/neuter for pit-bull type dogs in 46806), Did You Know ($20 spay/neuter for pets under 6 months), and Spay/Neuter Services of Indiana ($20.00 vouchers).
