Man accused of sex offender registry violation

A man wanted in Steuben County for not registering as a sex offender was arrested Tuesday night in New Mexico, authorities said.

Brian G. Campbell, 49, was arrested about 6:30 p.m. New Mexico time in Albuquerque as a result of a Steuben County investigation into violations of Indiana's sex or violent offender registry law. He had been in New Mexico about two months, police said.

Campbell was arrested without incident and booked into the Bernalillo County Detention Center in New Mexico. He is charged with failure to register as a sex or violent offender.
