News and notes

  • Fort Wayne rides a six-game winning streak into the crucial series. The TinCaps lost two of three to Bowling Green in a road series earlier in the season and will look for revenge, and a flip-flop in the Eastern standings, with the Hot Rods at Parkview Field.
  • The TinCaps are 6-0 with Ross as a starter and 13-3 at home. They will be going up against Lopez, who only has two starts this season and has appeared in relief for the Hot Rods six times.
  • A victory today would give Fort Wayne its longest winning streak since 2010. That season, the TinCaps won eight in a row in early August. The club's longest winning streak is 10 games.
