TinCaps shake up roster

Fort Wayne transferred three players to extended spring training and brought on two new faces and a player off the disabled list today.

Outfielder Mallex Smith came off the DL to rejoin the squad. Pitchers Erik Cabrera and Genison Reyes, as well as infielder Felix Cabrera, were transferred to extended spring training.

The TinCaps added two right-handed pitchers, Michael Kelly and Matthew Chabot, to their 25-man roster. Kelly was a 2011 first-round supplemental draft pick and made the opening-day roster for Fort Wayne in 2012. Chabot was a 21st-round selection in 2012.
