Bowling Green heats up, takes 3-0 lead

Fort Wayne starter Joe Ross gave up five hits after three hitless innings, and Bowling Green grabbed a 3-0 lead entering the seventh inning.

Reinaldo Lopez went five innings for the Hot Rods and gave up two hits and no runs. Ross, after a no-hit start, surrendered five hits and three earned runs in his six innings of work, although he struck out seven.

Catcher Luke Maile has two RBI for Bowling Green, which will break the TinCaps' six-game winning streak if it holds for another three innings.
