Bowling Green takes Game 1

Fort Wayne put up runs in the seventh and eighth inning, including Gabriel Quintana's home run.

It was not enough for the TinCaps as they fell 3-2 to Bowling Green.

The home squad lost its fourth game at Parkview Field in 17 tries against a Hot Rods team tied for first in the Midwest League Eastern Division.

Fort Wayne (22-14) starter Joe Ross gave up all three of Bowling Green's runs and was handed his first loss.

Reinaldo Lopez, who pitched five innings of shutout ball, got the win for the Hot Rods (24-13), and Ryan Ganton picked up the save.

The TinCaps will try to even the series Wednesday. First pitch is scheduled for 11:05 a.m.
