Local telecom leader to testify on patent laws

Mark Grady, founder and president of INdigital Telecom in Fort Wayne, is scheduled to testify Wednesday on patent laws at a hearing of the U.S. House Small Business Committee.

Grady is among four people who will appear before the panel. They include two law professors and a representative of the Medical Device Manufacturers Association.

INdigital Telecom supplies telecommunications and Internet services, including 911 public safety networks.

According to the committee’s agenda, the hearing will “examine the changing landscape of patent law and its effects on small firms.”

The hearing will begin at 1 p.m. at the Rayburn House Office Building in Washington and will be streamed live on the committee’s website at smallbusiness.house.gov.
