City retailer sells Powerball ticket worth $1 million

A person who bought a Powerball ticket at a Fort Wayne business for Saturday’s drawing is now holding a $1 million winner, according to the Hoosier Lottery.

The ticket, which was one of 16 nationwide to match the first five numbers but not the Powerball number, was bought at Lassus Handy Dandy at 10040 Lima Road.

The winning numbers drawn were 6-13-19-23-43 and the Powerball was 16. No one matched all six numbers, so Wednesday’s Powerball has grown to an estimated $350 million.

Lottery officials advise the holder of the winning ticket to sign the back of the ticket immediately and contact Hoosier Lottery Customer Service for information on how to claim the prize.
