IPFW softball earns NCAA bid

IPFW beat North Dakota State in the Summit League softball tournament title game to earn an automatic bid to the NCAA Division I tournament.

The Mastodons (34-14) scored four runs in the final two innings to earn the victory.

It came after IPFW dropped a game against NDSU (33-16) earlier in the day, which forced a decisive third game.

The Mastodons find out who they will play in the opening round of the tournament during a selection show Sunday.
