The Associated Press
Harrington Park police tell The Record (http://bit.ly/10AhlgB) the 8-year-old Northvale boy was sliding into third base Saturday when the ball hit him just above the heart. Witnesses said the boy's eyes rolled back into his head and he stopped breathing.
A woman watching the game came to the boy's aid and soon revived him, and he was conscious and alert when paramedics arrived. The child was flown to a hospital, but further details on his condition were not available.
