Meth lab traced to local apartment

An Auburn man was charged in Allen County on Thursday with several drug-related counts after police said they discovered a methamphetamine lab in his ex-girlfriend’s apartment.

Aaron Lynn Brown, 26, was charged with dealing meth, maintaining a common nuisance, possession of chemical precursors, meth possession, possession of a controlled substance and possession of paraphernalia.

According to court documents, Brown’s ex-girlfriend told Fort Wayne police that Brown had a history of drug use and they had split up because he had become “erratic and unpredictable.” His girlfriend said she was living in Auburn but was also paying on an apartment in Fort Wayne.

Officers searched the Fort Wayne apartment and found it unoccupied but full of meth-making materials and a one-pot meth lab, according to court documents.

Brown was being held in lieu of $50,000 bail.
