Dawn drug sweep nets arrests

Three county residences were raided about 6 a.m. today as the result of a drug investigation, the LaGrange County Sheriff's Department said.

The Multi-Agency Task Force sweep hit two homes in Lima Township and one in Bloomfield Township, the sheriff's department said in a statement.

Officers also served two arrest warrants as the result of an investigation by the Drug Enforcement Administration, the sheriff's department said.

Agencies also taking part included the FBI, DEA, Goshen Police Department, Elkhart County Sheriff's Department, South Bend Police Department, Elkhart County Emergency Response Team and the Northeast Indiana SWAT team.

The sheriff's department said more information will be released as it becomes available.
