West Jefferson to see lane closures

West Jefferson Boulevard will be reduced to one lane in each direction between Randall Road and Reckeweg Road near Jefferson Pointe shopping center beginning Tuesday and continue for 30 days, weather permitting.

The construction will begin on the north side of Jefferson and two-way traffic will be maintained in the two eastbound lanes.

The lane restrictions will allow the contractor, Brooks Construction, to reconstruct and widen Jefferson to provide a left-turn lane on Jefferson at Taylor Street.

Motorists are encouraged to find alternate routes as congestion and delays can be expected, especially during rush hours.
