  • Hammons to return to Purdue
    WEST LAFAYETTE - Purdue basketball fans' stress level has been eased somewhat after 7-foot center A.J. Hammons announced Wednesday afternoon that he will return for his junior season after considering entering the NBA Draft.
  • Purdue signs point guard from Indianapolis
    WEST LAFAYETTE – Purdue has signed a high school point guard from Indianapolis after two-year starter Ronnie Johnson decided to transfer.
  • Purdue's Clemons earns award
    Purdue women's basketball forward Liza Clemons, a former Elmhurst and Snider standout, is one of four recipients of the Brady Sports Achievement Award, which honors Indiana student-athletes who have overcome injury or hardship.

Purdue releases non-conference schedule

The Purdue athletics department released its men's basketball non-conference schedule today. The schedule includes 10 home games for the Boilermakers.

Here's a list of the games. Home games are italicized:

  • Oct. 30 — Indianapolis (exhibition game)
  • Nov. 4 — Wayne State (exhibition game)
  • Nov. 8 — Northern Kentucky
  • Nov. 13 — Central Connecticut State
  • Nov. 17 — Rider
  • Nov. 20 — Eastern Illinois
  • Nov. 24 — Sienna in non-bracket game for Old Spice Classic
  • Nov. 28-Dec. 1 — Games against OSC field (TBA): Butler, LSU, Memphis, Oklahoma State, Saint Joseph's, Washington State
  • Dec. 4 — Boston College in the Big Ten/ACC Challenge
  • Dec. 7 — Eastern Michigan
  • Dec. 14 — Butler in the Crossroads Classic
  • Dec. 17 — Maryland-Eastern Shore
  • Dec. 21 — West Virginia
